A shootout was fired on a car that brought the presidency of the President of the President of Ukrainian Volodymyr Zelenskiy Aide on Wednesday in terms of a senior official called murder.
More than 10 bullets regarding the car near the village of Lesnyky, about 5 km (3 miles) outside the capital of Kyiv, wounding the driver, a police statement said.
It was said that a criminal case for suspicion of premeditation murder was opened.
A local television station said at least 19 bullet holes can be seen on the side of the driver of the car.
A senior parliamentary member said the aide, Syhir Syfir, was not hurt.
Shefir is close to the president, leading a group of advisers.
Zelenskiy, who came to power over the promise to take the country’s oligarchy and combat corruption, is currently in the United States in the General Assembly U.N.
His office said Zelenskiy had been told and will soon comment.
Zelenskiy Mykhailo Podolya adviser said the murder efforts could be the result of the president’s fight against oligarchy.
“These open, intentional and very cruel attacks with automatic weapons cannot be eligible differently than an attempt to assassinate the first team members,” said Podolya told Reuters.
“We, of course, associated this attack with an aggressive campaign and even militants to the active policy of the head of state,” said Interfax Ukraine quoted Podolya.
“The presidential policy aimed at the country’s fundamental transformation will still have not changed,” he told Reuters, promising harder steps against oligarchy.
Parliament is this week because of the president’s legal debate aimed at reducing the influence of oligarchy.
