Showers cool Delhi, However it is not monsoon

NEW DELHI: A brief but intense attraction of pre-monsoon rain has been listed in a number of areas of the capital on Wednesday.
It attracted the highest temperatures to 34.2 degrees Celsius, that was five degrees below normal.
Though the monsoon remains a couple of days off, India Meteorological Department predicts that the chance of rather light rain Thursday too.
Another charm of rainfall is likely on June 19 and 20.
“Large scale atmospheric conditions aren’t favourable for additional progress of monsoon to Rajasthan, staying portions of Gujarat, Punjab, Haryana and Delhi.
But, there may be slow advancement into a more elements of Uttar Pradesh during the following five days in affiliation with the current cyclonic flow over east Uttar Pradesh at the lower degrees,” explained IMD’s daily monsoon bulletin.
Though the Met section had previously prediction monsoon rains to reach Delhi from June 15, its progress has slowed down substantially over the previous 48 hours.
Kuldeep Srivastava, scientist in IMD, states very little rain activity is now happening in west and east Uttar Pradesh.
“For Sunday, we’ve got a yellow alert right now.
Thus far, all these are all pre-monsoon showers,” said Srivastava.
While no rain was recorded in Safdarjung, Delhi’s base channel, Pitampura captured 24.5mm of rain between 8.30 am and 5.30 pm.
Najafgarh, Pusa and Palam channels also received brief but intense bouts of rainfall, documenting 0.5, 0.5 and 0.9mm of rain, respectively, in this age.
The Met department predictions elements of Delhi to be given a twist on Thursday using the highest likely to repay approximately 37 degrees.
