Violator rules will face disciplinary actions and FIR will be submitted, said the government and urban development department

The UDD Department (UDD) has directed Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) to file a police complaint if the court order is not followed.

The state government has also warned disciplinary action officials if orders are not applied.
On Thursday, UDD issued a circular to all local bodies and city companies including BBMP after the High Court brought officials to the task not to implement court orders.
On the two-page round, the department reminded BBMP that similar instructions were released in the past but almost all zones continue to violate the rules.
For the first time, the State Government has instructed BBMP to file a complaint of the police regardless of which political leader published his photo on a government-funded project or work.
Circular stated that photos of only five constitutional authorities – Prime Minister, President, Chair of Indian Justice, Chair of the Minister and Governor – can be used on the advertising board.
According to circular, even the Minister of Cabinet does not have the right to display their photos on publicly funded projects.
But the Supreme Court has allowed Minister of State and States to display their photos on government advertising.
“There are no photos of political parties or selected representatives who can be posted on jobs or projects funded using government grants,” UDD’s latest round countries.
It is generally seen that MPA, parliamentarians and council members from all political parties routinely display their photos about government-funded projects, especially during the inauguration or events of the foundation stone plate.
The group of residents has opposed such practice, citing this hoarding creates visual pollution, can cause accidents etc.

Indicates that it was the final warning for BBMP, the latest Circular of UDD stated that the department issued the first similar order in November 2020, and against July this year.
It also remembers a meeting chaired by the Secretary of the Additional Head of UDD Rakesh Singh where it was decided that all posters who violated the court order would be removed in a month and no permits to be given to install new posters.
UDD has instructed BBMP to order violators under Part 5 from Karnataka Open (Destruction Prevention) Act, 1981.
Sai Dutta activists welcome the direction of UDD and hope that the BBMP will implement orders.
The head of the BBMP commissioner Gaurav Gupta is not available for comments.
