JAMSHEDPUR: A sub-inspector named Dharmendra Kumar Singh from the Sakchi Police Station was arrested in connection with the murder of a woman whose body was mutilated was found in a sack from the edge of the pool under the Telco Police Station on November 18 on November 18 Chandra Jat said on Monday.
The deceased was identified as Varsha Patel (32) from South Park in Bistupur.
An investigation revealed that he was killed by Singh on November 12 at his residence on Telco.
“Singh was involved in a forbidden relationship with a woman and everything began to turn worse when he began to squeeze it.
Therefore, he hatched a plan to kill him to get rid of him,” said Jat.
Too late on November 12, Singh took him to his house in Kharajhar under the Telco police station area and after reaching there, the couple finally fought where Singh hit him.
“He hit his head against the wall and strangled him to death.
He then took off his belongings and stacked his body with a sack.
He then transports the body in his bicycle and dumps him near the pool on telco and runs away,” Jat said.
The next morning, he went to his home town in Bhojpur, Bihar since then, according to his plan, he had taken leave for a week from November 13 in advance.
On the same day, the missing Varsha report was submitted at the Bistupur Police Station by his sister.
While the police were investigating missing cases, a woman who was unknown in mutilated conditions was found on Telco on November 18.
After identification of the body by the Varsha family, the police passed the call record on his cellphone and became suspicious of finding the name Singh there.
On Friday, he was picked up from Bhojpur and detained because he was questioned where he acknowledged his crime and he was arrested, after that.
Even though Varsha married, she lived in her mother’s house following a dispute with her husband, who was a resident of Kadma.
The 39 years married and had two children.
Both of them are in a relationship over the past four years.
