Chandigarh: The leader of the Navjot Singh Sidhu congress on Friday said that he had taken his resignation again as president of the punjab party unit.
Overcoming a press conference at Chandigarh, he said, “I have taken back my resignation.
Today the new advocate was appointed and the new panel came to the Director General of Police, I would continue my office allegations”.
Sidhu also confirmed his objections to making the appointment of General Advocates and Director General of Police by the Government of Chararjit Singh Channi.
Previously, in the midst of several reports that Aps Deol offered to resign as Punjab Advocate General, a source close to him denied the same thing, said there was no development.
On September 27, the Punjab government had told the appointment of Deol as a General Advocate General.
The development came a few days after the Minister of Punjab and Sidhu, who had not been on the same page on certain promises, Tuesday said they would work with each other and fight the upcoming polls together, according to the MLA Party.
They met during the MLA party meeting and other senior leaders on Tuesday night to discuss strategies for elections.
The meeting was held on the day of former Minister of Punjab Minister Amarinder Singh resigned from Congress and announced the name of his own political party.
The leader of the Senior Congress and Punjab affairs responsible for Chaudhary Harish was also present at a meeting where the party tried to show that there was no difference between Channi and Sidhu and the party would fight for a shared poll.
Sidhu and Channi have not been on the same page on a particular appointment that causes anxiety between them.
“Everything is fine,” Sidhu told reporters after the meeting.
A party MLA said Sidhu and Channi said their meetings would work with each other and fight the next election together.
