New Delhi: In what can increase the supply of Russian V sputnik in the country, Pune-based Serum Institute (SII) will begin production in September under the transfer of technology that began with Russian sovereignty funds, Russian direct investment funds.
The company intends to produce more than 300 million vutik v doses in India per year.
The first sputnic vaccine batch is expected to be produced at the SII facility in September and is commercially available afterwards.
In June, the company received regulatory approval to produce Covid-19 vaccine, which was developed by the Russian Gamaleaaya Institute and supported by RDIF.
