SIIC, IIT-K helped establish 10 oxygen plants throughout India

Kanpur: Incubation Center and Startup Innovation (SIIC) in IIT Kanpur launched Mission Bharat O2 in May 2021 to strengthen health service infrastructure, with a comprehensive goal of promoting indigenous community manufacturers with global standards.
As a result of initiatives led by Prof.
Amitabha Bandyopadhyay, Professor In-Charge, Innovation and Incubation, IIT Kanpur, Srikant Sastri, Director, IITK First and Chairperson, I3G Advisory Network, and Rahul Patel, Strategic Chief Initiative, Acquafront Infrastructure Startup has successfully installed 10 500 and 600 LPM oxygen mills Above, MP, Karnataka, Haryana and Bihar.
Mission Bharat O2 is one more step towards the SIIC vision to develop a sustainable health care ecosystem in India.
The SIIC team acted quickly during the first wave of Covid-19 pandemic to provide ICU ventilators in just 90 days with Noccarc and the popular N-95 class Swasa mask with e-spin nanotech and fiber indeus.
In the 2nd wave of Covid-19, AIPL designed and produced PSA-based oxygen plants.
It is capable of being supported by 2 SMEs based in Kolkata and Hallol, as a manufacturing partner.
To make this initiative succeed, SIIC brings experts from various domains from all over the world.
Mentor for MBO2 includes Dr.
Arvind Rajendran (Canada), Devendra Choudhary (Switzerland), Monojit Choudhury, Nurmal Nerves, Sanjesh Verma, Sanjesh Banerjee, Rajesh Raizada, Nagesh Pai (Canada) and others.
Mission Bharat O2 is the result of consistent support from stakeholders in all government and private sectors.
The SIIC team and selected manufacturing partners receive support from government organizations, including PSA offices, invest in India, Indian Embassies in Japan and private and non-profit organizations including ICICI Securities, Ansys, Prime’83 of IITK, NTTData, Samhita Social Ventures, and Foundation American India.
