Sikh Delegation from Valley Meet Amit Shah

Amritsar: While praising the revocation of article 370 and the enactment of the citizenship amendment law (CAA) in the Union Jammu and Kashmir, the Sikh delegation of the valley has extended the invitation to Sikh and Hindu from outside India to settle the valley.
“We Kashmir Sikh welcomed CAA and revocation of article 370 and we would be happy if members of the Sikh and Hindu community come to India from any part of the world can live with us.
We will ensure everything including starting their livelihoods” said Pervender Singh Chopra Talk all management committees Sikh Gurudwara (ASGMC), Kashmir, while talking to TOI on Sunday.
Chopra is part of the Sikh delegation from the valley that meets Interior Minister Amit Shah and told him about Kashmir Sikhs’s demands.
Others in delegates including Baldev Singh Raina, Chairperson, Asgmc, Kashmir, and members of various Gurdwara committees from Budgam, Pulwama, Srinagar, AnanTnag, Baramulla etc.
Expressing concerns over the decline in the growth rate of Sikh in the valley, the spokesman they have urged Amit Shah to declare the Sikh of the Kashmir Valley as a minority community.
“We are only 1.5 lakh remaining with 60 thousand registered voters from the Sikh community spread across 6 districts and 135 villages.
And we manage 135 Gurudwaras, some of them historically” he said.
He told that the restrictions were taking place at J & K, so they urged the Minister of Home Affairs to order two seats for Sikh and also urged the Minister of Home Affairs to arrange a community representative meeting with the Head of the Ranjana Prakash Desai’s restriction commission which visited UT on July 6 and 9 .
The commission was assigned to redritting Lok Sabha and UT assembly constituency.
The delegation also asked the Minister of Home Affairs to make an advisor to an advisor to Sikh to LG who knew all the worries of Sikh.
“The minister at home gave us a very patient and convincing hearing that every sincere request from the Sikh who lived in Kashmir would be accepted and worked,” said the spokesman.
He said they had also tried to declare Gurdwaras as a national and early inheritance of international flights in Awantipora especially for ‘Darshan’ at Mattan Sahib Gurdwara.
