Sikh group praised PM intention, but was not happy with ‘Veer Baal’

Amritsar: Narendra Modi’s journey to declare December 26 as “Veer Baal Diawas” to pay tribute to Sons Martyrs from Gobind Singh’s teacher, Sahibzada Zorawar Singh and Sahibzada Fateh Singh has raised a mixed response from the Sikh organization, with objections centered around the choice of names.

Sikh Seminary Damdami Taxi, which was associated with Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale, praised the decision even when Shiromani Akali Dal (D) looked for changes in the name because Sahibzadas was honored as “Babas” in Sikh’s faith.
“We respect Modi sentiment, but at the same time limit the martyrdom of Sahibzadas to turn baal diwas not to represent emotions, ideology, and sentiment behind the martyr and Sikh tradition,” said President Singh Dhami Singh Dhami.
Such announcements should be made only after receiving instructions from the Temporal Sukhs Sukhs Takhs seat, Jathedar Rakhtak takht to lead in deciding whether to recognize the younger sahibzadas young people.
“The PM announcement can arise from honor sentiment, but cannot be interpreted as (automatically) approved by Panth,” Dhami said.
The head of the Damdami Taxi was the sixteenth and present, Baba Harnam Singh, “in 325 years of Indian history, no government was thinking of respecting sahibzadas but Modi had fulfilled his enormous task.” While expressing his gratitude to Modi, sad (d) The head and former Head of the Gurdwara Management Committee Delhi Sikh Paramjit Singh Sarna suggested renaming from “Veer Baal Diawas” to “Sahibzada Diawas”.
