Coimbatore: Unknown people entered a house on Jalan Edaiarpalayam in Vadavalli and made with 3 kg silver articles, Rs 75,000, digital video recorders of CCTV and iPad cameras, when the homeowner was in Madurai to attend his wife and children after they were tested positively for Covid-19.
Police said Rajkumar 37 years old, a resident of Roseland Avenue in Vadavalli, has been going to Madurai on June 23 to admit his wife and son to a private hospital for Covid-19 treatment.
“A project manager with a cellular manufacturing company, he installed a CCTV camera at his residence and used to check feedback directly on his cellphone now and then.” A police officer said the housemaid used to enter the house through the back door to clean the job.
“On Thursday at around 5 pm, the neighbor called Rajkumar to say that the front door lock was broken.
He returned home on Friday night and found valuables missing from home.” Rajkumar submitted a complaint to the Vadavalli police, who registered the case and launched Probe.
