SIM card sellers held in Delhi to persecute JNU undergraduate

New Delhi: The 27-year-old SIM card seller has been arrested from Munirka Delhi southwest to persecute a Bachelor of a PhD woman at Jawaharlal University Nehru (JNU) last Monday.
The defendant, Akshay Dolai, lives in Munirka.
The victim took a walk on the university campus around 11:45 a.m.
on Monday.
When he arrived near the east gate of the campus, a man came with a bicycle from the campus and tried to commit it.
The girl lifted an alarm and was accused of riding on campus.
DCP (southwest) Gaurav Sharma said they checked the register at the entrance gate, but did not find entries related to the vehicle.
“The woman was traumatized by the incident,” he added.
The police claimed that the right list of two-wheeled vehicles entered the campus was not managed by security staff.
While the scanning of CCTV camera footage, the police saw the perpetrators, but the video quality was unclear.
The only clue is he wore a hat.
Police also cannot see the number of bicycles.
Furthermore, a team under ACPS Abhinandra Jain and Ajay Vedwal was formed to investigate this case.
“The team checks a record of around 1,000 CCTV cameras installed on the JNU campus, Baba Gang Nath Marg, Nelson Mandela Road, Asaf Ali Road, all over the expanse of the outer ring road in the southwestern district of Daya and Munirka.
The defendant was followed from the University campus to Nelson Mandela Marg, Jalan Ring Outer and Munirka Village, “Sharma said.
The trap was placed near his house and when he came there on his scooter, he was arrested.
“We recover phD Schdolar phones and reach white scooters used in crime,” said an officer.
“Dolai married and has two children.
He is a native of West Bengal.
On January 17, he fought his wife in the morning after he left home.
At night, he entered the JNU campus after consuming liquor,” the officer said.
The defendant previously worked at the ticket counter in the JNU and often visited the campus.
While Dolai roamed around the JNU campus on his scooter, he saw the woman jog alone near the east gate.
“He stopped him and tried to commit him.
When he tried to call the police, he grabbed his phone and drove away.”
