Singapore Court continued to execute Malaysia India after he tested the positive Covid-19

Singapore: Singapore court on Tuesday stays a 33-year-old Malaysian man’s execution, convicted of drug trafficking, after he tested the positive Covid-19.
Nagaenthran K Dharmalingam will be hung in Changi prison for drug trafficking on Wednesday.
The Singapore High Court on Monday suspended the execution of its schedule until an appeal was heard during an online hearing.
Dharmalingam, who was in the death of the death for 11 years, was delivered briefly to the pier at the Court of Appeal for the hearing of the last appeal to his death punishment, Channel News Asia reported.
However, he was then taken, and a judge told the court that the Nagaenthran had been tested positive for Covid-19.
Justice Andrew Phang, who emerged with fellow judging Judith Prakash and Kannan Ramesh, said, “This is rather unexpected”.
He said the court argued that it was inappropriate to continue, “remembering the situation”.
“Execution is scheduled for tomorrow,” said Justice Phang.
“…
If the applicant has suffered by Covid-19 …
is our view that execution cannot happen,” said the judge.
The prosecution said they only heard about development and needed to take instructions.
“I think here, we must use logic, common sense and humanity,” said Justice Phang.
He postponed the trial to a date that had not been repaired and removed the execution period until the process was concluded.
Lawyer M Ravi has taken the Nagaenthran case during eleventh clock, before hanging it scheduled on Wednesday.
The court application was on Monday for Judicial Review cases by reason Nagaenthran’s mental disability was rejected, but the judge gave a temporary stay of his execution until after Ravi opposed dismissal.
This case is tracked quickly and the appeal will be heard at the highest court on Tuesday afternoon, with a packaged courtroom including foreign media and local activists.
Ravi was seen hugging fellow advice after the study of execution was announced, according to the Asian news channel report.
There is no other detail when the nagaenthran tested positive for Covid-19 is given, according to the channel.
Nagaenthran was sentenced to death in 2010 to import 42,72g heroin to Singapore in 2009 in a bundle that was tied to her thigh.
He failed in his appeal to the High Court in 2011, to the APEX court in 2019 and in his request to the president of Claratence.
This case attracted international attention as the execution of Nagaenthran approaching, with an online petition on his death punishment to draw around 70,000 signatures on Tuesday, and coverage by international media.
Malaysian Prime Minister wrote to Singapore’s partners about this issue, and human rights groups and founders of Virgin Group Richard Branson also burdened this issue.
