Nagpur: In a move to launch Nagpur-Mumbai Expressway entitled Hindu Super Hridaysamrat Balasaheb Thackeray Maharashtra Samruddhi Mahamarg, The Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation Limited (MSRDC) has completed 26 toll stations within a stretch of 701km.
Only an experienced operator who will maintain and run all 26 toll stations for the first three years.
MSRDC special purpose vehicle – Nagpur Mumbai Super Communication Expressway Limited (NMScel) – floated a tender on Tuesday to the appointment of an operator for all 26 toll stations.
In accordance tender, the last date for submission of bids is February 4, 2022, which raises questions about the recent announcement by the Minister Eknath Shinde MSRDC about the opening stretch of Nagpi in February next year.
Until now, there is no clear number of toll stations on the motorway built at a cost of Rs55.000 crore.
Deputy Vice MSRDC and Managing Director Radheshyam Mopalwar told TOI, “It is the final that there will be 26 toll stations.
Notice the toll rates for vehicles will be issued prior to the appointment of the operator,” he said.
MSRDC officials said the ongoing construction of the toll station.
“All the 26 toll stations will be operated on the latest technology and installation systems also occur,” they said.
In accordance tender, the operator must have an average value of net minimum RS420 crore in the last three financial years, in which 50% must be from toll collection work.
Deposit and Security Performance is RS22 crore each while the earnest money deposit is RS16.07 crore.
Criteria specified in the tender call to the toll operating company very experienced.
Shinde during a visit to the city in August, joint managing director of MSRDC Anilkumar Gaikwad said the victim for one-way trip from Nagpur to Mumbai will be around Rs1.100.
Earlier, MSRDC officials said the vehicles have to pay tolls only with kilometers which they travel in cement concrete road width of 120 meters.
Four toll stations will likely appear on the package-i and Package-II in Nagpur Division.
Crossing the 10 districts of the State, the motorway is likely to have 24 roadside amenity center.
MSRDC officials said there would be an amenity center around 60 km on each side.
“Already, 6.5 hectares of land has been acquired for each center, and work to pump gas, air archiving stations, motels, restaurants, toilets etc,” they said.
Mopalwar said the three oil companies that are run by the government has been asked to run a gas station on the highway.
“The remaining work will begin in the next stage.” Toll station and convenience center on the edge of the road, especially the gas station with the air filing station, restrooms, restaurants, required to initiate the traffic.
Package-I in this district reported late compared to other packages.
Mopalwar check the package twice in the past month.
“I’m not worried about the delay but encourage the completion of the work as soon as possible,” he said.
