Single, Queers look for legal routes to defeat the Surroogacy Bill, become parents

Hyderabad: With their dream of becoming a disconnected parent – the politeness of the new Bill Surrogacy (regulation), 2020 cleaned by Rajya Sabha – many men, women and members of the LGBTQ + community now explore the legal route to oppose the steps.
“We have focused on the Oocyte donor (eggs) and ready to start the embryonic transfer process when we hear about this development that does not allow a single or gay man to choose surrogacy.
It’s not too short of heart-breaking,” Rakesh said *.
He and his colleague, Alan * – both Indian descent – who have lived in Houston for years, returned to India during a pandemic.
“We want to have a baby to finish our family.
But now we are sad.
We are also very angry with the government to take this right.
How can they dictate how and can we have children or not?” Said the 29-year-old player said.
Two business development managers are now in talks with lawyers to see what options available for them to appeal against bills.
Also hoping to join this legal battle is Kiran * a divorced man who is in an advanced stage in the process, when Hyderabad-based clinics he consulted, must draw the plug.
“After a two-year process, we finally got the embryo prepared and ready to be transferred to a replacement mother.
I don’t believe it, it will never see today’s light now,” said health professionals.
Driven by the desire to be a father and wait for four years to adopt a boy (a single man is not permitted to adopt a girl), he turned to Surrogacy.
“This blanket ban on all single men, for fear that they might treat or cannot take care of children, it is very unfortunate.
Imagine what happened to a child born for a partner and the mother died at some point.
Is the Father irresponsible In such situations? “Rohan asked.
Unfortunately, while gay couples insist on having children through surrogacy – even if it means abroad – Rohan isn’t sure whether the finance will allow it.
“I have no hope now,” said the 43-year-old player, echoing sentiments shared by those who are like Saheli * – born with MrKH syndrome, an abnormality that affects the reproductive system.
“I will never be able to get married because men reject me.
They don’t want a woman without a womb and, therefore, there is no hope of childbirth.
Now, even my wishes to become a mother, through Surrogacy, have run,” he said.
But he doesn’t want to give up without a fight.
“I am looking at legal support.
If I find the same-minded person, it will only strengthen our case,” said the 28-year-old player.
