Islamabad: Pakistan on Saturday said the container confiscated by Indian authorities at the Port of Mundra Gujarat on the cargo ship bound by Shanghai “empty” but previously used for fuel transportation from China to Karachi for K-2 and K-3 power nuclear power plants.
Pakistan’s foreign office issued a statement in response to questions from the press about reports about the media about the “possible radioactive material” deprivation “by Indian authorities in Port Mundra on a cargo ship to Shanghai in China.

Adani Ports and Special Economic Zones (APSEZ) on Friday said Customs and Directorate of Income with the Intelligence Team (DRI) arrested several containers at the Port of Mundra from foreign ships about fears that they contained dangerous cargo that was not declared.
The dangerous cargo container was confiscated on the way from Karachi in Pakistan to SH Anghai in China, and the container was not destined for the Port of Mundra.
The largest port operator in India in a statement said that while the cargo was registered as harmless, the container confiscated has a hazard class – which shows radioactive substances.
