New Delhi: Deputy Minister Manish Sisodia on Friday said Lieutenant Governor of Anil Baijal has rejected the Delhi government’s proposal to form a panel to “investigate death due to lack of oxygen” in the capital city of the country.
No one can deny that Delhi grappled with the oxygen crisis in April and May during the second covid wave and no one could deny that people died in the capital due to lack of oxygen, he said during an online press conference.
“We have sent back files for the constitution of the panel for the death of an investigation due to lack of oxygen.
LG (Deputy Governor) said that there was no need for it,” said Sisodia the Head of Deputy Minister said that on the one hand, the center has asked the countries to say how many Many people die from lack of oxygen and on the other hand, “You have not allowed us to investigate the death”.
“Then how will the country tell?” He asked.
“That means the center wants us to give in writing that no death occurs due to lack of oxygen.
This will be a big lie,” Sisodia said.
He claimed that the center was responsible for mismanagement of oxygen in April and May and whether it was intentional or an error was an investigation problem.
The center must accept that it is responsible for the oxygen crisis, said Sisodia.
Minister of Deputy Chief has been written last week for Mansukh Mandaviya Health Minister Mandaviya that it was difficult to ensure without probe whether there were deaths related to oxygen during the second covid wave, and the Delhi government was seeking fresh approval from LG to the form of an expert panel for it.
The Delhi government has June forming an expert committee of four members to look into death due to lack of oxygen during the second wave of Covid-19.
The committee was rejected by LG.
