New Delhi: Deputy Chief of Minister Manish Sisodia on Thursday reviewing online teaching and learning processes in Delhi government schools during their frequent closure because of Covid-19.
During the review meeting, Delhi Dy CM was told by the Directorate of Education the attendance of students in offline and online classes in addition to their access to material and worksheets in two modes.

You have managed to put your votelogin to see Hydidsisodia told that through offline and online media, worksheets reached 99.2 percent of students from KG to class 2, 99.1 percent of students from class 3 to 5, 94.21 percent of students from grade 6 , 97.2 percent of grade 7, 98 percent of grade 8, 98.7 percent of grade 9 and 98.4 percent of grade 10.
He was also told that 98.2 percent of grade 11 and 98.6 percent of class 12 participated in the online class organized by the school, DOE information.
“Because of the closure of repeated schools during pandemic, there are educational losses for students.
Student health is very important for us but it is also important that children’s education does not stop,” Sisodia told DOE officials during the meeting.
He added, “Covid-led pandemic has submitted a new challenge in front of us but the team’s education works diligently to ensure that every child has access to education in these times.”
Delhi Education Director Himanshu Gupta said The Doe sent worksheets to students regularly while online classes were being carried out for grade 9 to 12 at the school level.
“Children who do not have digital devices to attend online classes provided copies of print sheets every week by school.
Doe send worksheets to Nursery class students up to 10 through WhatsApp every week, as well as projects, tasks and activities to the middle class during Winter break.
“We strongly emphasize students’ assessment through innovative methods to understand their level of participation and learning,” said Gupta.
