Thane: Thane City Police formed a special investigation team (sitting) to investigate cases of alleged extortion against former Police Commissioner Mumbai Param Singh and 27 others, said an official on Saturday.
This case was registered against Singh and the other in the complaint submitted by Builder Ketan Tanna at the Thane Nagar police station last week.
There is no arrest that has been made in this connection.

Singh was discussed from the position of Mumbai police chief this year after the recovery of SUVs with explosives near the Mukesh Ambani Industrialist residence in South Mumbai.
