Sit down to investigate Tosbile in Harmandir Sahib: DY CM

Chandigarh: Deputy Minister Punjab Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa has formed a sitting under the law of DCP Amritsar and to investigate the incident takbille in Harmandir Sahib in Amritsar and to present an investigative report within two days.
Randhawa, who holds the minister’s portfolio at home, is called the Sakrile incident as the most unfortunate.
He said that the state government would investigate the entire incident along with the Parbandhak Committee Shiromani Gurdwara (SGPC).
Randhawa also explained that the defendant had not been identified so far and post-mortem will be done soon.
Punjab police, in relation to SGPC, will ensure that Gurdwaras has a fully operational CCTV camera.
He added that the police could not enter Darbar Sahib without permission from SGPC.
Deputy Minister’s head also directed the lead DGP Siddhartha Chattopadhyaya, all police commissioners and SSP to strengthen security all the time around all Gurudwaras, temples, mosques, churches and other religious places.
Randhawa said that CCTV had to function in the complex where Granth Sahib teachers were placed next to other religious scriptures in all religious places.
The police must have an active liaison with SGPC and all Gurudwara committees to ensure that the Granth Sahib teacher should not be left unattended at any time, he added.
Randhawa visited Amritsar on Sunday and held a meeting with civilian officers and police on the police channel Singh Suktanwind and Sukhdev Singh Bhoorakona was also present.
The Deputy Ministerial Minister then said that the Sakrile incident was a very unfortunate incident and the police would get to the bottom.

Deputy Minister of Chief said that Punjab Vidhan Sabha has passed the resolution in 2018 to change part of the 295-A IPC (intentionally and evil intentions to prevent religious sentiments) but so far there have been no actions taken so far by the central government.
He added that section 295-A has a provisions of 10-year imprisonment if there are those who pamper themselves in the blasphemy of any religion.
The Punjab government will also send letters to the central government about the 295-A section amendments, said Randhawa.
Deputy Minister of Chief said that the peace and harmony of Punjab will be maintained with all costs and Punjabis will deal with these efforts with shared harmony.
