Kolkata: Member of the University of SFI Student Council has held a sit-in on the Main Campus of the Institute for more than three days during various demands, including the establishment of a committee to review the campus.
Adrija Karak, Carrier Office of the Board, said on Thursday that one of the library demands – access to students – have met with, but some other problems remain untreated, stand out between them to drive vaccination for all students and the Committee Constitution, with representatives from Trade unions, to receive a request back in class.
“We also want the authority to reopen the hostel, conduct laboratory classes for science students and begin the process to hold an entrance examination,” he told PTI.
With the Dean of the students told the agitators that he could not make decisions about the driver of vaccination and the formation of stakeholder panels, members of the board were looking for meetings with representatives of Chancellor Anuradha Lohia.

“We haven’t heard from VC, he can at least talk to us through a virtual platform.
But he must overcome the problem that has spread students into great uncertainty over the past one and a half years,” he said.
A university official said that nervous students had been told to empty the campus, quoting health problems.
“The authorities are always open to talks about problems they can handle, but things like the resumption of lab classes, and entrance examinations require the intervention of the state government,” he added.
