Thane: Police Thane has formed a special investigation team (sitting) to investigate extortion cases registered against former Police Commissioner Mumbai Param Singh and 27 other registered in the Thane Nagar police station.
A senior police officer from Police Thane confirmed the development and said, “We have created sitting to help investigate officers with 5 officers and 10 other police personnel to support investigations in this case.
But police officers refused to divulge other details relating to sitting.
Last week, that cases of extortion and pine were registered against the former Police Commissioner Thane and Mumbai Param Singh, and 27 others for extortion and other crimes.
The FIR was registered based on complaints by 54-year-old Tanna stickers.
