Kanpur: The technology saved the house to be stolen when a resident of Kanpur UP, who was in New Jersey, USA, told the local police above after watching the recording of direct CCTV theft that entered his residence in Monday’s sentup.
Responding to the call, the police hurried to the house and found the thief still inside.
The intruders opened the fire and one of them was injured in the police shot in retaliation and arrested.
The other escaped.
Around midnight Monday, Vijay Awasthi, a software engineer based in New Jersey, got a warning on his phone.
The signal came from the CCTV camera and the sensor he had installed in his ancestral house in Kanpur.
When he checked the tape, Vijay was surprised to find intruders in his house.
“Vijay uses mic options to warn intruders.
But the warning does not have an impact on them.
Instead, they solve CCTV cameras,” police said.
Vijay then immediately called his neighbor in Shyamnagar, who told the police control room and police patrols reached the site within five minutes.
Immediately, Police Commissioner Vijay Singh Meena, DCP (East) Pramod Kumar, and police personnel arrived and confirmed from home.
Intruders, who hid on the roof, were asked to give up.
However, they shot the police, which returned the fire, hurt one intruder.
