Agra: Six people, including five children, have died in Konh Mathura Village in the past week because of “mysterious” fever and at least 80 others have been hospitalized in Mathura, Agra and Rajasthan’s Bharatpur.
According to the Ministry of Health, two children – Sevak (9) and Honey (6) died in hospitals during treatment on Monday.
They were accepted with complaints of fever.
Other people who died in the last week – Ruchi (19), Avnish (9), Romia (2), and Rekha (1).
The cause of death is still unclear, the official said, added that there was a possibility of dengue fever, because their blood platelets were found low along with fever.
Chief Medical Officer Dr.
Rachna Gupta said that the team of doctors visited the village and took a sample for diagnosis of malaria, dengue fever and covid from patients treated in hospitals and their relatives.
He said, “Insecticides sprayed in the village and fogging are also carried out and villagers told to report to the hospital if they feel fever or have such symptoms.”
