Hyderabad: Breaking all previous records from one day the number of Covid-19 cases during the third wave, Telangana recorded 3,557 new cases on Wednesday, even when six districts recorded more than 100 cases.
The highest kasing daily previously recorded on Tuesday when 2,983 people had been tested positively.
The number of active cases reached 24,253 on Wednesday.
From new cases, 1,474 recorded at GHMC, 321 in Medchal Malkajgiri and 275 in Ranga Reddy together contributed more than 92% of cases.
Also three deaths were recorded.
On Wednesday, 1.11 lakh samples were tested.
The district seeing more cases including Nizamabad who saw 58 cases, Karimnagar saw 74 cases, 77 people, Khammam 104 cases, Sanga Reddy 123 cases and Hanamkonda 130 cases on Wednesday.
