Six Elephant Kumki was deployed to monitor the recalcitrant Movement of Vinmission Tusker

Udhagamandalam: Six Kumki Elephants from The Topakadu Camp has been deployed at the Mudumalai Tiger Reserve (MTR) and the Nestle Forest Division adjacent to monitor the movement of Vinocated Tusker, which has deviated into the villages of Panchayat Srimadurai in Gudalure, and home.
While Kumkis Shankar and Krishna were involved in the monitoring of vinipherizing on Thursday, Murthi, Guava, Wasim and Ganesh were sent to the Bosepara MTR area to join operations on Friday.
Vinmission has destroyed eight houses and many plants on agricultural land in the past month, a forest department official said.
“Six Kumkis moves in monitoring the movement of viniguations in the Bosepara area and led him to deep forests.
Kumkis will also see that the elephant does not return to the village,” said the Rajendran forest range officer.
Vinmission first is a robber of plants in the Forest Division of Coimbatore.
He was appeased and arrested from the Thadargam Valley in 2018 and was shifted to the MTR.
However, even on the MTR, he was used to deviating to farm land located at the reserve limit and damaged plants.
Furthermore, the local community protested and urged the forestry department to bring it back to the reserve forest.
