Six injuries in the explosion at the chemical plant in Palghar

Mumbai: At least six workers suffered injuries after an explosion at a chemical plant in the Chemical Zone of Tarapur Boisar MIDC in Palghar Maharashtra Regency on Saturday night.
30 other workers managed to escape.
The explosion occurred in the Bharat chemical handling unit, located in L-30 at around 11:30 a.m.
Station officers, Bo Boisar MIDC Fire Brigade, Dinesh Ambore said that 36 workers were at the factory when the explosion occurred.
Because of the explosion, the ceiling of the unit collapsed and injured six workers.
Five of them suffered a head injury and were treated at Sanjeevani Hospital in Boisar.
A worker is discarded after a first aid.
The remaining workers managed to rush out when the explosion occurred.
The fire tender is pressed into the service.
The cause of the explosion has not been confirmed, said firefighters.
This 39-year-old company is a paracetamol manufacturer and other chemicals.
Police Board MIDC has registered an accidental case.
The Directorate of Industry Safety and Health Officials will visit the factory and send their reports.
Last month, five sustainable workers burned injury in a series of explosions at a fire crackers factory in a village in Dahu Taluka from Palghar.
