CHENNAI: Seven recently elected members of the Tamil Nadu meeting on Monday took oath, administered by speaker M Appavu in the secretariat. They comprise ministers S T S Sivasankar and M Mathiventhan, that have been chosen from Kunnam and Rasipuram respectively. Both were contaminated with Covid and couldn’t turn up to the oath taking occasion on May 11. Another elected MLAs comprise S Gandhirajan (Vedasandur), E Subbaya (Ambasamudram), M Varalakshmi (Chengalpet), plus a G Venkatachalam (Anthiyur). Former AIADMK ministers, Kadambur C Raju (Kovilpatti), C Vijayabaskar (Viralimalai) and R Vaithilingam (Orathanad) also required oath. Chief Union M K Stalin, water sources Union S Duraimurugan and the others participate in case. DMK MLA C Shunmugaiah (Ottapidaram) is the only member who’s nonetheless to take oath at the 234-member meeting.
