Noida: Six young men allegedly grabbed a cellphone around 500 people in the last two years was arrested in sector 58 on Friday.
Youth had been identified as Aakash and Aditya, both of them from Ghaziabad; Sagar, Hapur residents; Ayyub, Meerut’s native; Akash, friend of Madhya Pradesh and Puneet from the Jewar.
According to the police, Aakash, who used to work in the call center Ayurvedic at Sahibabad, is the leader of their gang.
He along with Puneet and Ayyub has a history of stealing sports bikes in Delhi-NCR.
This bike is used by other gang members to seize cellphones, especially from women and senior citizens.
Most of these cuts are carried out when people are on their way to the office or come home from work, usually between 9-10am and 5-7 in the afternoon.
If someone adds Peranyan, the suspects used to threaten them with a gun.
