New Delhi: The farmer union who compete for Punjab polls will no longer be part of Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM), the body of the umbrella that pioneered agitation of the Agri law which is now revoked on Saturday.
The SKM leaders at a press conference after their meeting at the Border Singhu also said that BKU Leader Rakesh Tikait will visit Lakhimpur Kheri in Uttar Pradesh for three days in January to suppress the Union Minister Ajay Mishra who accused the cut into protesting farmers last year.
“Tikait will meet victims, farmers and officials who are imprisoned.
If there is no progress, the siege can be placed in the farmer’s organization,” Yudhvir Singh said.
Singh also said that SKM did not agree with the farmer organization participating in the election in Punjab and they would not be part of him.
“Organizations that take part in polls are not part of SKM.
We will decide about our relationship with them at the SKM meeting four months later,” he said.
SKM leader Joginder Singh Uughhan said, “SKM has nothing to do with them.” Two leading leaders from SKM Gurnam Singh Chadhuni and Balbir Singh Rajewal, who are part of the anti-agricultural law protest throughout the year on the Delhi border last year, has joined Fray in Punjab.
