Skoda Kushaq production begins, launch in June

MUMBAI: Skoda Auto India announced the start of production of the Kushaq at VW Group’s plant in Chakan, Pune.
Skoda Kushaq is based on the MQB-A0-IN, a variant of the modular MQB -A0 platform.
The vast know-how of highly qualified local engineers was leveraged to enable high localization.
Kushaq will mark Skoda’s debut in the C-segment SUVs, where it will compete against the likes of Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos.
Customer deliveries planned to begin in July, this new SUV offers a compelling combination with its striking design, ample space, exceptional comfort, outstanding safety features and modern infotainment systems, according to a statement released by Skoda Auto India.
Skoda Kushaq will offer two turbo-petrol engine choices with both automatic and manual transmissions.
Kushaq is expected to start at Rs 9.50 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Zac Hollis, Brand Director – Skoda Auto India confirmed that the team is gearing up for the launch later this month.
“We have already increased our network reach substantially and have instituted several best practices towards ensuring customer delight,” Hollis said.
