New Delhi: It’s hard to believe, but one of the four super luxury Lamborghini cars – with prices on the road that exceeds Rs 4 Crore – being bought in the interior and the small towns of the country like Ludhiana, Kanpur, Guwahati, Salem, Letter, Madurai, and Indore.
After buying coveted, especially for rich people in Metro cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and Chennai, ultra expensive vehicles – such as Aventador and Huracan sports cars, and URUS SUVs – increasingly found buyers in small cities where Generation entrepreneurs, and those who come from multorgous business families buy it to improve status and announce that they have ‘arrived in life’.
While the exhibiting wealth is avoided in many of these cities before, trends have changed over the past few years, even when they have to move in the top luxury brands such as Lamborghini.
“In 2015-16, the request was largely concentrated in Metros because small cities only contribute in one digit for our business.
Today, 25% of our business comes from Tier-1 and -2 cities,” Sharad Agarwal, Head of Lamborghini In India, told Tii, adding that the trend became clearer after the company drove in his first full-bodied vehicle.

Lamborghini has completed sales of 300 units in India since starting business in this country, and in 17 years later came in two years earlier against seven years which was originally taken to break the three-image mark.
