Smart City: Patna climbed 12 places to claim 53rd position

Patna: Apart from the covid-induced locking and slow work during a pandemic, Patna has increased its ranking among 100 smart cities of the country after completing and implementing several projects.
It has climbed 12 places to claim the 53rd place in recent rankings published by the Ministry of Housing and urban affairs.
Previously, state capital was ranked 65th.
Because of the success of the city in completing the project, it produces ranked second in the country.
Patna Smart City Limited (PSCL) received a total score of 14.87 of 100.
Country capital received 10 points for project work ordered, 5.19 for the utilization of funds, 3.8 for finished work, and 4.22 for work.
According to PSCL officials, the overall ranking of the city, which between 60 and 70 during a pandemic has increased as a result of several projects completed and launched last month.
The state government has inaugurated several City City projects, including Adalatganj Pond rejuvenation, the construction of the command and integrated control centers in the SSP office place, the establishment of Jan Kendra (Public Service Center), and seller zones.

In addition, foundation stones are placed for projects such as rebuilding DRAIN MANDIRI, construction of road links that connect Beerchand Patel Path and Bailey Road, Facelifting SK Memorial Hall, and the construction of subways as part of rebuilding from the station area.
A total of 10 different projects have been completed so far under the mission of City City, including the Mega screen in Gandhi Maidan, renovation of the Beelchand Patel Line, wall art or painting for social awareness, and e-toilets.
Two additional projects are scheduled to finish next month, including medium public transportation and innovative 3D wall paintings and statues.
Harshita, Public Relations Officer of the PSCL (PRO), told TOI that working on rebuilding Mandiri Nullah had begun with channel cleaning.
“After cleaning, Nullah will be covered with a disposal box to allow the construction of a smart road.
It will be 1,289 meters long and will begin at the I-T roundabout and end at the mandir in the ban on Ghat.
This will connect Bailey Road and Ashok Rajpath directly,” he added.
Pro continued, “The construction of pedestrian subways that connects the intersection of Patna and multi-level parking structures near the Buddha Smriti Park will begin immediately after the design is complete.
The Technical Agency will stretch the design before approval.
According to a detailed project report, 330 meters from the bottom Land 440 meters will be underground and 110 meters will be on the surface.
The total construction costs are estimated at around Rs 68 Crore.
“The pedestrian subway will be equipped with escalators, travelers, lifts, and pedestrian roads.
This will be built using CUT-AND-COVER technology.
Other features include air conditioning, roads, ventilation, fire extinguisher, drainage systems, and generators.
Meanwhile, Bhagalpur has been ranked 50th, Muzaffarpur 54, and Biharsharif 59.
