Thane: Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs have searched for ‘actions taken by reports’ from Thane Municipal Corporation into the probe of Multi-Crore Smart City projects executed by the Civic Agency, said BJP MLC Niranjan Davkhare.
Davkhare told the report to reach the ministry on January 27 and the Chairman of the Mission of City Smart Kunal Kumar had sent a letter to the Head of the Secretary of Maharashtra on December 6th on December 7th that the Delegation of the BJP leader of the Union Minister Singh Puri complained about alleged irregularities and corruption in the implementation of the City Project City Viz New Train Station, Satis, Waterfront, among others, where the company has begun working without permission or without acquiring.
“Thane Civic Body failed to follow a standard procedure while running several multi-crore projects.

Davkhare complained,” Many projects executed under the Smart City program failed to give desired results.
The Smart Water Meter project has not succeeded while the Digi-Thore project has seen spending on several crores and facilities have not been fully used by residents.
The seafront project and underground parking in Gaondevi are several other projects that have not developed since the last few years.
