Chennai: Chairman of the Minister of Tamil Nadu MK Stalin on Thursday said the Committee would be formed to see irregularities in City City projects in Chennai.
Responding to opposition leaders in the State Assembly, CM said T Nagar was very flooded during the recent rain due to poor implementation of City City projects.
According to official sources, the 14 member committee led by former IAS Officer V Thirupughal has submitted a report of 90 pages to the minister’s chairman about the steps to prevent flooding in the city.
Official sources said the report suggested that Greater Chennai Corporation advance with flood mitigation projects in 561 areas in the city.
The report said the storm waterways had to widen and deepened.
All encroachment along the water must be removed and rainwater harvest must be enforced in all households, the source said the report.
