Smart wheelchairs made by IIT Madras can be driven on the road

Researchers at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) have developed motorized wheelchair vehicles that can be used not only on the road but even in uneven fields.
Called ‘Neobolt’, has a maximum speed of 25 kmpj and moves up to 25 km per charge.
Neobolt was developed by a team led by Professor Sujatha Srinivasan, Mechanical Engineering Department, IIT Madras, and has been commercialized through a startup called ‘neomotion.’ Startup has been established by Professor Srinivasan and Iit Madras alumni, Sochav Swostik.
