Smuggled drugs confiscated at Chennai airport

Chennai: Customs Chennai has confiscated three postal packages containing smuggled drugs worth Rs 1.6 lakh.
The first package, which weighed around 14 grams, arrived from the Netherlands and was aimed at the person based in Chennai.
When opening the parcel, 26 green tablets allegedly MDMA, commonly known as ecstasy, were found, according to the official release of the central unit on Tuesday.
In other cases, marijuana (24 grams) and marijuana are mixed with neutral material (64 grams), hidden in parcels from the United States.
It was aimed at someone at Andhra Pradesh.
The third package is also from the US.
It is intended for someone in Hyderabad.
It contains 105 grams of marijuana, which is hidden in the humidifier.
All contraband substances are confiscated at the Foreign Post Office with the provisions of Narcotics Narcotics and Psychotropic Substance, 1985, reading with Customs Law, 1962, releases added.
