Snow ‘bombs’ let go of a snowstorm in the east of the US

NEW YORK: Blinding snow whipping by strong winds hit the eastern United States on Saturday, as one of the strongest winter storms in the year was triggered by bad weather warnings, transportation of chaos and power outages throughout 70 million areas.
With some warnings of no snow storms, cities like New York and Boston bear the burden of the storm, the National Weather Service (NWS) confirmed Saturday has been intensified to be a “bomb cyclone” – marked with explosive power drops quickly in the pressure atmosphere.
The coastal area is expected to receive more than one foot (30 cm) snow at the end of the day, and three feet in the Massachusetts section, where more than 119,000 houses are reported without power.
Cold weather warnings are raised south as far as Florida, where NWS warns “spread to Iguana fell isolated from a tree” as a paralyzed temperature plunge while the big lizard, which can weigh up to 20 pounds (nine kilograms).
Residents in cities on the east coast are urged to avoid all unnecessary trips in a whiteout condition.
At Long Island, said women officials were found dead in his car by a snowman operator.
Ten inches (25 cm) snow have accumulated in the north of Manhattan Island, and the regional railway is partly closed.
The salt and snowplows engine crawled along the streets of New York City, where the city residents were built on Saturday for more than four inches of snow.
Mayor Eric Adams posted a video of him visiting different districts throughout the day, urging fellow New Yorkers to stay at home.
In an interview with the local radio station Wins, he insisted that the city handle a storm “like the oiled engine,” added, “There is no way untouched.” At Times Square, the famous neon billboard formed shining a circle of light in snowy air.
But cold temperatures did not stop Robert Burck, Times Square fixtures known as “Naked Cowboy.” Just wearing his panties, cowboy hats and cowboy boots, he walked through the tourist hotspot almost empty, picking his guitar.
“It’s fantastic,” one of the trembling tours, Gonzalo Vazquez from Spain, told AFP at Times Square.
“It’s like skiing, surrounded by awesome lights and LED screens.” In the trendy Sidney neighborhood in Brooklyn, the sidewalk is almost deserted and many businesses are closed.
But a little did a brave smiling element as they wanted each other, “Congratulations on the snow day!” The emergency has been stated for New York and the New Jersey neighbor state.
New York Governor Kathy Hochul asked citizens to stay at home if possible.
“The most dangerous stage of the storm is now,” he said in a midday statement, “so please continue to avoid unnecessary trips.” For people who have to travel, he urges them to fill their car gas tanks and keep supplies such as scrapers, blankets and water in their vehicles.
In Boston, Mayor Michelle Wu announced an emergency of snow.
“This will get quite ugly out there,” he said in a morning television interview from the city hall.
“This will be a historic storm.” Massachusetts residents rushed Friday to buy food, as well as snow pellets and ice melt to help keep their sidewalks and entrances clearly.
With Saturday morning, Boston Public Works said 500 snow plows had worked hard on the streets of the city.
The driver of Mark Burns plow, who worked in the South Shore Boston area, said he saw up to three inches falling one hour.
“It’s getting harder,” he said.
“It should be light and smooth, but it’s a little wet now.” NWS said the gusts of wind will reach up to 60 miles (96 kilometers) per hour.
This is an estimated temperature that is very cold by shivering a hazy wind Saturday night until Sunday morning.
The level of snowfall will range from two to four inches per hour, he said, and strong winds will cause “electricity outages spread.” “Expecting Whiteout conditions and travel is almost impossible at times,” said service.
More than 3,500 flights were canceled for Saturday traveling inside, into or out of the United States, according to Flighteare flight tracker, and more than 1,000 flights have been canceled for Sundays.
Cancellation on Friday amounts to more than 1,450.
The snowstorm came on the same heel of the storm winter which enveloped the eastern plot of North America – from Georgia to Canada – just two weeks ago, cutting strength for thousands of houses and also disturbing thousands of flights.
