Written by news2in

Nagpur: The Solar Group has cleared the test to make a single weapon system.
A week ago, the company cleared user trials for anti-thermal grenades, 81mm anti-laser (Atlar), the latest tank defense system.
Armament factory board (OFB) is too cleaning trials for grenades at the same time.
With this, the solar group, which is the only private entity to pass the user trial, now must compete with OFB to pocket orders.
Both had to bid through the request of the proposal (RFP) to drift by the armed forces.
81mm grenade is a defensive system for tanks.
The grenade makes the smoke screen, which blocks the laser and makes it difficult to track the coordinates, preventing the tank to get hit by the enemy.
The grenade has been developed by the High Energy Material Research Laboratory (HEMRL), one of the Organizational Research and Defense Development Units (Drdo).
The source says RFP will be the basis of 60:40.
This means the lowest bidder will get 60% of the order.
To get a 40% break, the next bidder must match the lowest price, the source said.
The OFB, which is now converted into a public company from the Government Department, must compete for orders.
Solar, which has emerged as the first private company to collect the main order, is expected to provide the latest multimodal hand grenades to the army.
OFB, which also makes the same grenade, has been asked to match tariffs with solar groups to get mass production orders.
The Solar Group conducts the defense business through a fully owned (eel) company economic explosives.
The group has also cleared trials for two Rocket Pinaka versions, making it qualified to take part in RFP for this system too.
Last month, the trial was held for an enhanced range version of the rocket, which could reach the target of up to 45 km.
Rockets have been developed by weapons research and development (Arde), also part of Drdo.
