Gurgaon: To promote the use of sustainable energy and save electricity consumption expenses, district administration will soon establish a 100 kW solar power plant on the roof of the Mini Secretariat.
This district has signed an agreement with the city-based sun system, empaneled by the new and renewable energy department – to prepare solar power plants.
Deputy Commissioner Yash Garg said that 100 kw solar power plants were being established at the Mini Secretariat and it would be a grid connected on the roof of solar power plants under the ‘resco mode’ i.e.
Renewable energy supply company.
“The Power Purchase Agreement has been carried out for 25 years with the Company and all costs related to the installation and maintenance of this solar power plant will be borne by them.
The electricity produced from this solar power plant will be used at the Mini Secretariat and the company will provide electricity Rs level.
4 per unit, “Garg said.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Wishram Kumar Meena said that this solar power plant will produce around 1.25 lakh to 1.50 lakh electricity units in a year and with installation, it will save Rs 6 to 7 lakh per year.
