Bhubaneswar: Solid fog is likely to win in isolated places in 17 districts for the next three days from Monday night.
The minimum temperature in all countries is also likely to fall three to four degrees Celsius during the period, the department said on Sunday.
Umashankar Das, a weather scientist at the Central IMD center in the city, said, “This condition will benefit the formation of fog in several districts, including coastal bags and interior.” The state government has asked the district collectors to issue advisors for police and transportation department officials to take the steps needed in their region to control the plying vehicle on the highway during solid fog to avoid accidents on the road.
The office commissioner specialized sending letters in this case to the district collectors on Sunday.
During Monday, there are estimates of conditions such as fog in eight districts scattered in the interior bag.
These include Coraput, Nabarangpur, Malkangiri, Ladydom, Kandhamal, Balalangir, Boudh and Sonepur.
Other districts, who can also witness conditions such as fog for the next two days, including Cuttack, Angul, Dhenkanal, Gajapati, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Keonjhar, Nayagarh and Rayaganada, said the IMD report.
The latest IMD bulletin said the minimum temperature saw a drop in isolated places in the northern interior of the country in the last 24 hours.
Das said the night temperature will dip further in the next three days.
13.1 degrees Celsius, online recorded the lowest temperature on Sunday.
Likewise, the city records a minimum temperature of 16.2 degrees Celsius.
Jharigon in the Nabarangpur district saw the highest rainfall (23mm) in the last 24 hours until Sunday morning.
