Mumbai: BJP leader Kirit Somaiya admitted innocent above the stock court on Tuesday in connection with two cases of defamation submitted by NGO BUMI and Pravin Kalme, the founder of the NGO appeared before the additional Metropolitan Head of the 25th Magistrate in Square, according to Square Calls and courts release him on RS 15,000 personal bonds with conditions including not to contact the complainant and repeat violations.
Somaiya appeared with her advocate Deenanath Tiwari while the complainance NGO was represented by her advocate Adnan Shaikh.
The judge has now posted a case on November 25 to record evidence.
Kalme’s complaint said that Somaiya allegedly published posts and articles about a problem “which has never been proven in court ” and has” caused damage “in NGO and NGO reputation.
