Somalia suspect in the killing of the UK MP was held under the Law of Terrorism

LONDON: The suspect who was arrested at the England Essex after the murder of Conservative MP British Sir David Amess had been named Ali Harbi Ali, a 25-year-old man from Somalia’s legacy, which is now being held under strict terrorism law.
Amess, 69 and members of the British Prime Minister Boris of the ruling conservative party, died after being stabbed several times on Friday when he met his constituents at the Belfairs Methodist Church at Leigh-on-Sea, Essex.
The Scotland Terrorism Counter Command officer has a long time until Friday to question the suspect under ACT.
According to reports, Ali was referred to a Deradicalist scheme against England’s counter-terrorism in a few years ago, but was never an attractive subject for MI5 security services.
“The man was further detained under Section 41 of the Act of Terrorism 2000 and he was now being held at the London police station,” Metropolitan Police said.
“On Saturday, October 16, the detective was given further detention warrants at the Westminster Judge Court, which allowed them to keep humans to be detained until Friday, October 22, when the warrant ended.
As part of a fast-paced investigation, the officer has been Attend three addresses in the London area and do a search.
One of these searches has concluded and the other is ongoing, “Force said.
The suspect was arrested on Friday at the attack and the knife used in the attack recovered at the scene.
The incident was officially declared a terrorism by the senior national coordinator for the Counter Terrorism Police, the Deputy Assistant Commissioner of the Dean of Haydon, and the Counter Counter Counter Command led the investigation.
British home secretary Priti Patel, also an MP from Essex, ordered an urgent review of security procedures for parliamentarians.
On Sunday, Patel said the security changes were “immediately” offered to parliamentarians after murder and they were asked to share their existence with the police.
Asked whether parliamentarians could get the type of protection near the Westminster, the minister said: “All these problems and options are being considered now.” “We all change the way we work because of changing worries, threats in society.
This should never damage the relationship between selected representatives and democratic roles, responsibility and duties to those who choose them,” he said.
Amess represents the Southend West in Essex and holds a constituency operation – where voters can meet their chosen parliament and discuss the problem – in the church on Friday when he was attacked.
He has been a member of parliament since 1983 and married five children.
Amess was the second serving members of the British parliament to be stabbed fatally in the past five years, following the murder of MP JO Cox JOX in 2016.
