Some areas in Puzhuthivakkam, Madipakkam is flooded

Chennai: Residents of several environments in the suburbs of Madipakkam and Puzhuthivakkam are built for flooding streets.
Water enters the ground floor of several houses.
While the main road is not fully flooded, the streets of the interior and the low-lying area bear the burden.
The traffic movement was cut off on the main road of Puzhuthivakkam for a small stretch near the office of the Corporate Zone 14, because the water level was about three feet.
Officials said that in most areas, water was transferred to the nearest waterbodies – Lake Madipakkam and Lake Puzhuthivakkam.
But houses that are under the road surface are flooded.
Residents in Otteri Salai, Nethaji Street and New India Colony Road in Puzhuthivakkam and those in Ram Nagar (North) in Madipakkam are among the worst affected by the water on the ground floor of several houses.
On several roads, water overflows from storm waterways.
