Bengaluru: Senior BJP leader and former Minister of Kartataka B Yediyurappa on Monday claimed that some legislators congress were ready to join BJP.
He responded to questions from reporters here on his statement that Congress tried to captivate the BJP leaders.
“They (Congress) will certainly make such efforts, but some legislators congress are ready to come with us.
You will immediately know who they are all.
So every such an attempt by Shivakumar (KPCC Head) or someone else will not be successful,” he said.
He said BJP would win more than 140 seats and return to power.
Overcoming the BJP State Executive Meeting in Davangere on Sunday, Veteran leaders have asked the party to not take the opposition party lightly, because they have their own strategy and strength, and that the Congress leaders tried to contact several party leaders.
He also accused Shivakumar made an effort to contact party leaders, but he would not succeed.
Meanwhile, Revenue Minister R Ashoka said the BJP State Unit has requested permission from the central leadership to induce several leaders from various parties, and are waiting for nods.
“The list has been sent to the central leadership,” he said.
However, responding to Yediyurappa’s claim about him trying to contact BJP leaders, Shivakumar said he did not want to reveal his party’s strategy.
“Why do I have to reveal our strategy? I don’t want to reveal our strategy.

Yediyurappa said something, Ashoka said something or some other leaders might say something, let’s wait for some time,” he said in response to questions.
The opposition leader Siddaramaah said today that if anyone wants to join the party voluntarily, it will be considered.
