Some Google Maps users are reported to face problems using the application sharing feature.
According to a report, a bug is to prevent Google users from mapping so that other people monitor their current location until it turns off the location sharing feature.
Google Maps has a location sharing feature, which allows users to share locations with others.
While sharing the location, users can set the deadline when sharing will stop.
Or, they can also choose settings that share the current location “until I turn it off.” Users on the Google Maps application support page complain that they can no longer choose the option “until I turn it off”.
Initially, it was estimated that the problem occurred for users whose accounts were not verified to meet the minimum age requirements.
However, immediately proved wrong because the user complained about facing problems even though his account was verified.
The problem began earlier this month and believed to occur because the bug was introduced through recent software updates.
The exact cause of this problem is unknown.
There is no official assistance or statement from the company too.
Meanwhile, Google has added several new features for Google Maps through official blog posts.
This includes busy areas, directory tabs, detailed restaurant reviews, and grocery pickups.
Busy areas are designed to help people see the time when the nearest area or part of a particular city is in the busiest.
Google also expanded the directory tab to provide more detailed information about navigating around large buildings such as markets, shopping centers, airports, transit stations, etc.
Benchmark pickup, on the other hand, will let the user track their order status and then share with the store when they hope to arrive for the collection without leaving the application.
