New Delhi: Even when the overall Covid situation remains stable, after the beginning of the ongoing festival season, several hospitals have started reporting uptick in the number of cases.
While the absolute number of patients is still low, many hospitals have reopened their covid environment with some viewing even 20-25% more patients this week, as of the past.
A doctor reported that while there were five cases in his hospital in the last two months, the previous week saw the same number.
Some increases in infection are expected to increase mobility and creeping concessions, but cases are watched carefully, the doctor said.
Most doctors maintain that vaccination has helped keep the situation under control and serious cases of little.
However, the next two-three weeks will be important and the actual manifestation of the infection will begin after, they said.
“We saw a sudden increase in the case and had reopened Ward Covid this week, which we had to close earlier because there was almost no case and instead we witnessed the dunge flow in a hurry,” said Dr.
Cheru Dutt Arora, an expert consultant Doctors and Covid-Care at the Asia Institute of Medical Sciences.
Doctors also recommend increasing testing to assess the right situation and oversee any possible mutations.
“Delhi is mostly stable but in the past week has begun to drip because there is little increase in the number of cases,” said Dr.
Suranjit Chatterjee, senior consultant (internal drug) at Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals.
