New Delhi: The row above the use of headscarves in schools and colleges in Karnataka increases on Tuesday with several parts of the country witnessing protests of violence by students.
The problem began in January this year in the PU College government in Udupi where six students who attended the class wearing a hijab was asked to leave the campus.
The problem now has spread to other parts of the country, with some young people responding to wearing a turmeric scarf.
Meanwhile, the Karnataka High Court, who heard this problem, has urged students to maintain peace and tranquility.
Boiling tensions overprotests for and against ‘hijab’ which are intensified in several educational institutions in Udupi, Shivamogga, Bagalkote and other parts of Karnataka.
According to IANS, Batu Pelites and Lathi-Charge incidents were reported at several other pre-university universities.
A small stone petting incident was reported near college in Bagalkote and some students even tried to pull to campus.
The police must disperse students using light powers.
In Shivamogga, the police said that pelting stones began after a violated quarrel between the hijab wearing students and a group of other students who came in the turmeric scarf.
Then, the training order was clamped in the Shivamogga district.
Protests also erupted in the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial College in Udupi after a large group of students wore a turmeric pool and the headgear of raising the slogan on the College campus when Muslim girls dressed in hijab demanding justice.
Police and college authorities were forced to intervene to control the situation.
Hearing in Karnataka HcManswhile, the Karnataka High Court began to hear the petition filed by five girls studying in the government pre-university university in Udupi, questioning the hijab restrictions in college.
The applicant is looking for a declaration of the court that they have fundamental rights to practice essential religious practices, including wearing headscarves according to Islamic beliefs, at college.
The court stated disappointed by students attacking and spilling to the streets.
“If we see fire and blood on TV, the judge will be disturbed.
If the mind is disrupted, intelligence will not succeed,” the bench headed by Justice Krishna S Dixith.
Asking people to have confidence in the Indian Constitution, Dixit justice observes that only a few naughty people keep the problem of burning.
The court appealed to students to maintain peace and tranquility so that the community was not disturbed.
The bench added that he has full faith in the wisdom and virtue of society in general and hopes the same will be practiced.
The court said that it would run on reason and law and not passion or emotion.
“We will follow what constitution.
The constitution is Bhagavad Gita for me,” said the judge.
This will continue hearing about this problem on Wednesday at 2:30 a.m.
The school, the college was closed for three days Minister Dayskarnataka Basavaraj Bommai made a similar appeal, urging students, teachers and the community to maintain peace and harmony.
He said that all secondary schools and colleges throughout the state will be closed for the next three days given the protest.
Previously, Interior Minister Araga Jnanendra also urged students who protested to maintain peace.
“You (students) are all educated, you have to think of your future.
After two years of Covid-19, this year’s class has been done in a good way.
It is time for you to prepare for your exam that will come in a few months,” said Jnanendra.
Noting that religious forces behind such incidents must be used and everyone must think about the country, the minister in a video statement says, “We all have to stand together as brothers, as children in this country.
Uniform is a sign of equality.
Educational institutions are not a place to practice our religion or to showcase our costumes.
“” Everyone must maintain peace.
Don’t give the opportunity to use the police.
I begged parents to guide their children and let us all work towards a functions college peacefully, “he added.
