Gurgaon: The District Health Department will only establish three session sites for Covid-19 vaccination on Sundays due to lack of doses.
It will include two drive-through sites at City Center Mall and Candor at Palam Vihar and via cellular vaccine which will be inoculation in sector 57.
There is no vaccination that will be carried out in the government’s health centers and urban health services on Sunday.
The health department official said they had reduced the number of government session sites and would be in a limited number because the department did not have sufficient vaccine stock.
It receives 10,000 doses on Friday and the next stock will come in two to three more days.
“We have around 20,000 remaining doses.
We plan to have fewer session sites on Sundays because of the availability of a limited dose.
We will vaccinate on Monday according to availability.
Our daily requirements are 10,000 doses and we receive 10,000 doses on Friday, Where we use a few on Saturday, “said Dr.
Virender Yadav, a medical head Gurgaon, added that session sites in private health facilities would run according to their schedule.
Gurgaon has vaccinated almost 1.45 lakh people in the past week.
