Some private schools opened back in Delhi for all classes, many will be reopened in the coming weeks

New Delhi: Some private schools in the national capital are reopened from Monday for all other classes while many others are still in the process of exercising modalities and will continue in-people in the coming weeks.
Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) has announced last month that the school will be reopened for all classes from November 1, even though teaching and learning will continue in mixed mode.

Modern public schools in Shalimar Bagh are reopened on Monday for nursery classes and kindergartens.

Bharat Arora, Secretary General of the Unaided Private School Action Committee, said that some schools were still in the process of taking approval from parents.
“Some schools are in the process of taking approval from parents while transportation arrangements are also being worked on,” he said.
Last Monday, several government schools welcomed students with dances and music, while others decided to filter films such as “Taare Zameen Par” for students.
Many other activities were also held to help children connect with their school, before continuing physical education.
DDMA has directed that the school must ensure that there are no more than 50 percent of attendance in class at one point in time and no students are forced to attend the physical class.
After a real increase in the Covid-19 situation in the city, the Delhi government has announced the reopening of schools for grades 9 to 12, colleges and training institutions from September 1.
However, this was the first time after March 2020 that schools in Delhi were reopened for class up to 8.
Allows only 50 percent of students per class, mandatory thermal screening, staggered lunch breaks, alternative seating arrangements and avoiding routine guest visits is among the guidelines announced by DDMA for the reopening of the school.
DDMA said students, teachers and non-teaching staff living in the Covid Detention Zone would not be allowed to come to schools and colleges.
It also said the areas used for activities such as the distribution of rations and vaccination must be separated from the area to be used for academic activities.
