Some schools are reopened for grade 9 to 12

Lucknow: Some schools in Uttar Pradesh reopened on Monday for grade 9 to 12 with a tight Covid protocol and a limited presence.
Some other schools say they are preparing to continue the physical class for students and will soon be reopened.

Cathedral senior high school here said about 100 students attended Monday’s class.
“Offline class has been continued for grade 9 to 12 today (Monday).
About 100 students, which is around 20 percent of total strength, has come to attend classes,” Donald de Souza, Chancellor and Spokesperson of the Lucknow Catholic diocese, told PTI.
But some schools remain closed.
La Martiniere Girls’ College has not been reopened, said the principle of Aashrita Dass.

Francis’s Principal, Lucknow, a Moras said: “We plan to open school from August 26.”
Not all parents are willing to send their children to school.
Ashit Neogy, a businessman based in Prayagraj, whose son is a 10th grade student, said he was happy with his son who attended the online class.
Neogy’s Son, Apratim, is also worried about attending a physical class.
Puneet Mehrotra, whose daughter studied 9th grade at Lucknow-based school, said he wanted to send it to school, but could not because of some technical problems in the form of approval.
His daughter Avna said that she was ready to go to school, and wanted to meet her friends.
According to government orders issued earlier this month, the class at higher education institutions will continue from September 1.
In a statement issued here on Monday, the government said that according to the recommendations of the state-level health specialist advisory committee, secondary, higher education institutions, calls and professional educational institutions opened with 50 percent of attendance, and the teaching began.
Classes are held in two shifts, and the Covid-19 protocol is being obeyed, he said.
“From August 23 after Rakshabandhan, the resumption of teaching activities can be considered for grade 6 to 8, while the same thing can be considered for grade 1 to 5 of September 1,” said the statement.
